How this site sources its claims, what it does when it gets something wrong, and where AI sits in the process.
Sourcing
Every number traces to a fetched source or to data gathered for that article, and the method is stated alongside it. Nothing is estimated or carried over from memory. Where a figure comes from this site's own logs, the underlying table is in the page so you can check it.
Quotations are capped at twenty words per source, one quote per source. Everything else is paraphrased with a link. This site argues about attribution, so getting that wrong here would undermine the rest of it.
Where something cannot be verified by any documented method, it is reported as unknown rather than folded into a more convenient number.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place, with a dated note at the foot of the article saying what changed. Corrections are never silent and an article is never quietly deleted. Found something wrong? Say so.
How this site uses AI
Openly, and as a tool rather than an author. AI assists with drafting structure, writing and reviewing code, and reading large volumes of material. It does not invent figures, decide what is worth writing about, or publish anything unreviewed.
Illustration is not generated. Every chart is rendered at build time from committed data, so the numbers behind a figure can be inspected rather than taken on trust.
